Brainspotting

What is Brainspotting?

Brainspotting is a gentle, brain and body-based therapy designed to help organically process trauma and other mental health challenges by using your visual field.

Based on the idea, “Where you look affects how you feel,” Brainspotting helps access areas of the brain where trauma and emotional distress are often stored below the brain’s language and thinking centers.

Through attunement with your therapist and awareness of your body’s natural responses, your brain is able to process, release, and heal in the way it was designed to. Unlike traditional talk therapy, you don’t have to explain every detail of your experiences. You can talk as little or as much as feels comfortable. Brainspotting often provides relief from symptoms more quickly by addressing the root of emotional distress within the brain and nervous system.

Every person’s healing journey is unique, but many clients experience meaningful changes that lead to greater peace, resilience, and freedom to fully engage in life again.
